Crandon, Wisconsin – Jeff and Michelle Bauer, a beloved couple from Crandon, tragically lost their lives in a car accident on November 1, 2024.
Their sudden passing has left family, friends, and the local community in shock and mourning.
The Bauers, who moved to Lake Metonga in early 2020, quickly embraced life in the Northwoods, where they became known for their love of snowmobiling and their active involvement in the local Lumberjack Memorial Trails snowmobile club.
In an effort to honor their memory, Alex Bauer has organized a fundraiser to create and maintain a memorial snowmobile trail in their names in Forest County, Wisconsin.
The memorial trail will serve as a tribute to their spirit and passion for the Northwoods.
“Jeff and Michelle were more than just club members; they were cherished friends who embraced every moment in the Northwoods,” said the organizer, Alex Bauer.
The fundraiser has a goal of $5,000, and donations are already being collected to help support the creation of the trail.
Family and friends have shared heartfelt messages of remembrance on social media, expressing their deep sorrow and honoring the legacy of the Bauers.
