Westwood, Massachusetts – Jack Troy, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and community member, passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 74.
He passed away peacefully at his home in Westwood following a brief illness.
Jack was born on February 25, 1950, in Boston, Massachusetts, to William and Margaret Troy.
He was the eldest of three children and grew up in Dorchester, where he learned the values of hard work and community.
After graduating from Boston College High School, Jack attended Northeastern University, where he earned a degree in business and met his future wife, Mary Ann Collins.
They married in 1975 and raised two children in Westwood.
Throughout his career, Jack was a respected real estate developer known for his integrity and commitment to building strong, lasting communities.
He was also an active member of St. Margaret Mary Parish and the Westwood Rotary Club, where he contributed to numerous charitable efforts.
Jack is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Troy, children Michael and Katie, and three grandchildren, Evan, Olivia, and Jacob.
His family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Westwood Rotary Foundation.
A funeral mass will be held on November 12, 2024, at St. Margaret Mary Church, followed by a reception at Westwood Community Hall.
Jack’s warmth, kindness, and dedication to his family and community will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
