Courtney Kuhl, Beloved Urban Community School Teacher, Passes Away in Cleveland, Ohio, Leaving a Lasting Impact on Her Students

Cleveland, Ohio – Courtney Kuhl, a devoted educator and cherished member of the Cleveland community, tragically passed away on November 11, 2024.

Her sudden death has deeply affected her family, friends, and the countless students whose lives she touched throughout her ten years as a teacher at Urban Community School (UCS).

Courtney was born on September 6, 1994, in Sandusky, Ohio, to Scott and Mary Kuhl. She grew up in a supportive family that instilled in her the values of kindness, resilience, and a passion for learning.

After graduating from Edison High School in 2012, Courtney went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Miami University of Ohio in 2016.

Her commitment to teaching was further reflected in her recent completion of a Master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Ursuline College in May 2023.

Throughout her career, Courtney was known for her unwavering dedication to her students and her collaborative spirit.

Her colleagues at UCS have fondly remembered her as a passionate educator who went above and beyond to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

“Prayers for you and your family, Dale. So sorry to hear of your loss,” wrote a friend, reflecting the deep sorrow felt by all who knew her.

Courtney leaves behind a legacy of love, inspiration, and dedication that will continue to resonate within the Urban Community School family and beyond.
