Andre’ Earl Knox, Son of Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Detective, Tragically Killed in Head-On Collision

Murfreesboro, TN – Andre’ Earl Knox, the beloved son of Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Detective Andre’a Butler, tragically passed away on November 7, 2024, after being involved in a head-on traffic collision caused by a drunk driver.

The fatal crash occurred when Knox was struck by the impaired driver, leading to his untimely death.

Andre’ was known for his kind and caring nature, always stepping up to help others in need. His passing has left his family, friends, and the community in deep mourning.

A GoFundMe campaign has been established to support the Butler family during this difficult time, as there were no insurance policies in place to cover the funeral costs or other outstanding expenses.

The fundraiser’s organizer, Mandy McPherson, expressed the collective sentiment of those who knew Andre’ and his family, stating, “I have heard countless stories of the love Andre’a has shown for her friends and her community by showing up when others are in need. I am asking that we return the love and show up for our friend and colleague in this difficult time.”
